For all you who didn't attend paul's big opening - probably only two of you - here are some pictures of the party and...oh, yes...art! I think that everyone in the metro detroit area made it out to the show and to support the new gallery. What a great night!! I am so happy to have another great space to see detroit and national (international?) work - all in one space. Paul knows his stuff and I expect big things in this space. I have never been to an opening in michigan that you actually had to stand in line to enter!

This one (the press card image) is my favorite of peter's works.

Did I mention it was crowded?

While waiting in line to head into the show, the stairway contained the art of Object Orange - the group who paints boarded up, falling down houses in the detroit area bright orange.

An interesting extension room to paul's gallery features a small selection of aritsts in his inventory. It is a nice side to the solo show and hopefully will be utilized as an installation room or at least be open for some different uses of space. I can already picture local artists having some fun in this tiny room!

I am sure Peter felt really great with that homecoming reception! Do you think he misses the Metro Detroit arts community?
