art opening at the belmont
Tomorrow night at the Belmont, ccs student John Azoni is having an art opening.
wednesday, Jan. 25 at 8:00 pm.
The Belmont is a bar located in Hamtramck.

John Azoni's work is fresh, sincere, dynamic! This young artist works with passion. You should see the large works he has in progress right now; puts me in mind of Philip Guston 's abstract work of the 50's, but with a heightened sense of color and physicality....wonderful stuff.

thanks! Joe Bernard said the same thing to me about Philip Guston. I guess never realized it before but it does sort of resemble his work, which is funny because I'm not such a fan of Guston. But I do think he had a good thing going.
