Synergy Fine Art Gallery will be having it's second opening Friday March 24 featuring Detroit artists Matt Lewis and Andrew Drisko. Opening is from 6 - 10:30pm.

Klaus Kertess is the curator of the inaugural exhibition of the new Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, set to open on Woodward Avenue in Midtown Detroit in fall 2006.

I love people who sit back and shit on everything wrong and don’t contribute to the art community… Is it appropriate to open a gallery with no intention of making large amounts of money and only providing the art community with a space “which we have so few of” is it appropriate to expect someone to not show their own work, simply because they have devoted them self and their time to showing others work….

i took my mom to a movie and dinner. i've worked outside of the system for 10 years and don't expect them to collude with me now.

i wish moca-d the best. we really need a contemporary museum. i've fought for that for those 10 years.

it's only shameful that they've locked out detroit artists on this first, maybe only, show.
