Get a peek into the minds of the artists, when Northville Art House unveils a new art exhibition, opening Friday, Sept. 1. n-tûrprt is an exhibition of drawings, painting, photographs, sculpture and assemblage created within 10 blocks of the Northville Art House.
Artists were required to visit the Art House during their time in Northville, using Art House as a starting point on their journey. Each work also will be accompanied by a journal entry describing the artist’s experience, thoughts or reflections while creating the piece. The exhibition will include both abstract and realistic interpretations of various places or experiences in the Northville area.
Artists include: Kathleen Arkles, Davin Brainard, Lisa Calice, John Charnota, Elizabeth Crank, Simone DeSousa, Frank English, Lynn Galbreath, Ann Gordon, Scott Hocking, Dennis Jones, Dawnice Kerchaert, Candace Law, Faina Lerman, Harlan Lovestone, Catherine Peet, Mike Richison, Ed Sarkis, Mary Step, Alison Wong, and S Kay Young. Exhibition curator is Aaron Timlin .
Opening Reception Sept. 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
