The Detroit Film Theatre's new season kicks off on September 8, with the Detroit premiere of the latest work by artist / filmmaker Matthew Barney. Drawing Restraint 9 was shot in Nagasaki Bay on board a Japanese whaling ship, and features a performance by Icelandic singer Bjork, who also composed the film's music.

i am going to go with they are so queer but love to make Art together.
DR9 is fantastic - a bit bjork music videoy but good for the masses... the accompanying show at Barbra Gladstone was spot on! and after the opening at MoMA they served sushi, extra leg cutty.
