fires and motor city art night
Where there is smoke there is fire. As I made my way downtown I saw a giant puff of smoke climbing into the sky. A few minutes later I was able to make out what looked to be abandoned house completely on fire!
A slow night for art...Dean Western showed band fliers.

It may have been a slow art night, but those fire pictures you took look just like the Whistler FALLING ROCKET picture you posted the other day!
Enjoyed the motor show last night and suprised to see he did work for one of my favorite local bands.
The art of information in so many forms..
Yeah thats the way we did it before the easy and wonderful blog internet media came along! Oh what the youth ( and old ) take for granted!
Yep I remember when just being able to make b&w xerox copies was super exciting. Color printing was pure fantasy, way out of reach. Now everybody is a designer & can do it at home so it's not so exciting to the kids...
I don't think it's a matter of lack of appreciation by way of not understanding the difficulties of past methods. I think it's a matter of art snobbery.
those posters could have been full color photoshop wonders and ann probably still would have shafted them. band fliers aren't "real" art.
