Koons's works have prompted some tongue-in-cheek marketing ploys. When Christie's (auction house) offered the 1991 Red Butt, a 90-by-60 inch silk-screen painting of of Koons engaged in anal sex wiht his soon to be wife, which sold for $369,000 in 2000, the sale catalogue coyly hid the work behind a foldout panel proclaiming "Warning: The Following Image Contains Graphic Sexual Content."
