Gallery Project: Ann Arbor

I hadn't made it out to Ann Arbor for a gallery opening until last Friday to attend the Gallery Project opening which included Clint and Scott's famous traveling "Relics" piece.  Gallery Project is an artist collective space that is a good place for Detroit emerging artists to look into. There is a list of shows posted and submission is easy. From my understanding a curator is chosen and they pick from images emailed to the gallery along with their own ideas and contacts. It is sometimes hard for us centralized Detroiters (Woodward being home base) to make the trip out to Ann Arbor, which always feels like a parallel universe.  I encourage others to make the trip!  Not only was the Gallery Project opening but also the University Gallery had an opening.  Combined with the food and shopping, Ann Arbor is a place to take a trip to.
