farhad moshiri

I really am into gold lately but in a kitschy, almost mocking the 80's, sort of way. I love how the works become expensive palace tokens and how something so simple, like a change in color, can evoke so much importance. My mind wanders to thinking about the circumstances and place of creation to being an artist living in Iran. I tend to think of a piece of ancient history, relics, gods, wealth, greed, and war....but just check it out. Maybe gold isn't for you.

Artist Moshiri (lives/works in tehran, iran) but is rep'd out of kashya hildebrand, ny.

(this piece above reminds me of detroit artist matthew blake)
