I thought the show was fanitastic! and it was packed all night! and even a few red dots...it is much more inpresive in peron.

Wow someone can’t spell.. “lol” but yeah the show was good. Almost too many people at this opening. But the work is interesting.

it may have been inpresive, but it was not impressive.

a painting and sculpture show should feature at least a little bit of one or the other.

This was a really great show. Every opening I have attended at Synergy has been packed.

anonymous number four, just what are you talking about??

I feel that the palette is not developed and it all looks mucky and over worked. I get the lone figure standing in a landscape but where could that idea be pushed so it is more personal. I think more than anything the paintings feel insecure or tentative in there mark making.

The mark making I enjoy, but the imagery is trite.

I think everyone who liked this show was drunk.

Too melodramatic to be taken seriously. Not melodramatic enough to be taken seriously.

It strikes me as intending to look personal by using already over-established imagery and "expressive" texture. It's like buying colthing at Hot-Topic. Expression by unconcious appropriation. "Hurray, this will make me look like I'm a tortured soul!"

That would be a more interesting theme. Too bad the artist doesn't seem to be aware of it.

Maybe that was harsh.

Looking forward to seeing the show.
Its been good seeing such a variety of impressive / unique painters and sculptors at Synergy. It feels fresh. The last exhibit of the WORD was a real education and asthetic delight.
