A new parking paradise

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

A new art installation/environmental team, Rebar has farmed a new kind of PARK(ing) space. Check out their site...."Our goal was to transform a parking spot into a PARK(ing) space, thereby temporarily expanding the public realm and improving the quality of urban human habitat, at least until the meter ran out."

That's retarded! It's only going to piss people off while they're driving in circles for hours looking for a parking space. Instead, they'll see someone drinking a cup of coffee, reading the newspaper, talking to the birds. Meantime, 'Pissed-Off Pete' is running late for his 9am meeting with marketing.

I suppose if we had better public transportation (or more people rode a bike) we could afford to sacrifice a few parking space 'for the birds'.
