i think just the idea of it of a compressed show gave it a lot of energy. the work was good too which pushed it over the top. i especially liked jamie's layered sculptural work. and kevin's photos were like cranbrook's tommy's only disheveled and not as contrived.
lots of fun all around. they head to lloyd dobbler next in chicago and then kansas city i think. they were fun to talk to about their adventures over the last month and in a different city every night.

All three are recent grads of the school at San Francisco Arts Institute. And so, as a Cranbrook grad, it was great seeing what's happening at other schools.

Not so diffent in the end. Jamie Spinello is cutting and layering and reminds me of directions of friends and recent Cranbrook grads - I won't name names. Yeh, Tommy Reynolds in Kevin's work. And a lot of recent photography in what Brice is doing.

Great idea I think -- organizing this "rock band" thing right after final reviews. They're literally out there with their work.
