kevin beasley @ moter city

I hadn't been to motor city in a couple weeks so I thought that maybe graem had gone a little crazy with the wall building but it was kevin (ccs senior) that built an enclosed space for his artwork. Kevin controlled the space not only with walls but he used filters on the light to create a somber, glowing effect. The pieces, he revealed to me, are about space and how people interact within the whole space. It sounds a little Kapoor and a little RichRichRich with the small details.

Kevin Beasley is growing rapidly as a young painter. He is not afraid to take risks and experiment with process and format.
