millard vs. crowder
I came across this LA artist and founder of Fudge Factory Comics, travis millard that reminded me of detroit artist chris crowder. (first 3 pics are millard's sketches)

I can see the resemblance, but Millard has a smarter use of space. I have a problem with Crowder's work in that the compositions become really boring. They feel a lot like looking at coins spilled on the floor because everything has pretty equal priority visually.
Crowder's stuff pretty frickin cool. I saw that piece at the Gallery Project and it made me a little queezy, but I couldn't look away. The panels don't really link up, so you have to put the story (if there is one) together yourself.
I know both.
